Mckenzie's first birthday has come and gone. I can't believe she is one. I can't believe I gave birth to her a year ago. It seems like it has flown by, but yet, I can't remember my life without her here. Nor do I want to go back to the time without her. She is truly a blessing in our lives.
Her birthday party was held on her actual birthday at 2:00. Lots of family members and friends came to celebrate the special day with us. Her party decorations were very cute. Here is what the napkin looked like.
I thought they reminded me of something I would have had at my own first birthday. We got her cake from French's Bakery in Mission Viejo. It was really good and they decorated the cake just like the invitation and decorations.

My First Mother's Day
Sunday was my very first Mother's Day. Doug has been traveling so much, but is finally home for a while. We decided to be very low key and just stay at home for the weekend. We had great family time. I did get a couple of gifts too! Doug sent tulips to my work as a Mother's Day present. A very sweet gesture from him! He also gave me the gift of sleeping in on Sunday. That was so nice!
I am truly blessed to have the family that I do. Doug is a great husband and father. Mckenzie is more than I could have asked for. I love being a mommy to that fabulous girl!

1st Birthday
We went out and bought Mckenzie's stuff for her first birthday. It was exciting to plan for it, but sad too. I can't believe that our baby is going to be one! She really is getting so big and learning so many new things. Right now Mckenzie is crawling all over the place, pulling to standing, eating many solid foods, and saying new words. Each day something new happens and it is such an adventure to see what each day brings.
